Like all the rest of America, I have watching with concern the recent gyrations in the financial world.  My wife and I are watching our retirment investments evaporate before our very eyes, and it’s a little unnerving.  Of  course, the Christian world is offering lots of responses; some of it is very good, and some is questionable.  Being a fan of Dr. Albert Mohler, I was very pleased when he addressed the issue on his blog and radio show.  I encourage you to take a look at them for a sound, biblical perspective on the whole thing.  Here are the links to both the article and the radio show:

Just remember the words of Jesus,

“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’  “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.  “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matt 6:31-34 (NASB)

Hang in there, friends.  God is still on His throne!
